Broken Oar Productions
Monster Elementary creator/writer Nicholas Doan and his wife, Gwendolyn Dreyer, are the driving force behind Monster Elementary. Under the Broken Oar Productions moniker, they assemble and manage the creative team and are the copyright and trademark rights holders for Monster Elementary.

Nicholas Doan
Creator, Writer
In addtion to his work with Monster Elementary, Nicholas is the author of three children’s books for Fat Rabbit Farm. He was the first ever user-submitted contest winner for DC/Zuda Comics along with artist Daniele Serra for their webcomic, “Pray for Death.” Nicholas has also collaborated with artist Josh Gowdy for their short comic, “Lost Boy,” in the Drawmore Inc. anthology, NOBODIES, Vol. 2. In addition, Nicholas is an accomplished playwright and card carrying member of the Dramatists Guild.
Gwendolyn Dreyer
Editor, Letterer, Business Manager
Gwendolyn graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a BA in Theater Arts, concentrating her studies in directing. She has produced and directed a variety of shows including producing an evening of one acts for the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Gwendolyn has been a blogger for a Disney and Theme Park news site, specializing in Marvel media and the comic convention scene.

The Artists
Monster Elementary utilizes short story, anthology-style storytelling which allows for a sizable cast of the most talented independent artists. The large variety of artistic styles inside the book is a signature element of Monster Elementary.
